Ruby Valley Hospital's CT Scan Saved My Life

Late in February of 2015 I woke up with difficulty breathing. I had a cold and thought that I had moved on to pneumonia. My breathing became more labored and my wife called our doctor’s office in Dillon. We were instructed to get to the nearest hospital immediately.

We drove up the road to Ruby Valley Hospital and immediately began treatment. I did not have pneumonia but had a Massive Pulmonary Embolism[1], which was verified by the new CT scan machine at the hospital.

I was transported to Bozeman Deaconess after initial treatment at RVH and remained at Deaconess for 5 more days.

I was told that if I hadn’t received the early treatment at RVH, I would not have survived a ride even to Dillon.

Ruby Valley Hospital saved my life! Thanks to all who gave such excellent and timely care. We are all so very fortunate to have you here.
